Italian Biathlete Giacomel Withdraws from Olympic Mass Start Event

Italian biathlete Tommaso Giacomel described his early exit from the Olympic biathlon mass start race in Italy as bringing the "worst emotions". Other athletes and teams, including Sweden, also reported problems and mixed fortunes in the same mass start event. The race ended with Norwegian biathlete Vebjoern Dale-Skjevdal taking gold and calling it a moment of redemption.
